Preview: Southend Charity Cup Final

Updated: May 10, 2023

Attention all Southend Collegians fans! We are delighted to announce that our Reserve team has made it to the final of the Southend Charity Cup Section C competition, and we want all of our members to come out and support the team on this big day. The final will take place on May 18th, 2023, at The Len Forge Centre, and kick-off will be at 7.30 pm.

Our Reserve team has put in a tremendous amount of hard work and effort to reach this stage of the competition, and we want to show them our full support. They will be facing off against Catholic United A for the trophy, and it is sure to be an exciting match.

Reserve team player-manager, Jamie Nicholls, said:

"I've played in the Southend Borough Combination for 10+ years and this is my proudest moment. Southend Collegians gave me and the team an opportunity to carry on and play football. I'm so happy we could repay the club by taking collegians to a cup final in our first season. Can't wait for May 18th and hope to see many of you there"

The appointed referee for the match is Paul Smith, with Richard Noakes and Jason Patient taking the assistant responsibilities.

The admission fee for the match will be £5, and the bar will be open throughout the game for refreshments. We want all of our members to come out and show their support for the team as they battle it out on the pitch.

So, mark your calendars for May 18th, and come down to The Len Forge Centre to cheer on our Reserves team. Let's show them that they have our full support and encourage them to bring home the trophy! Go Southend Collegians!
