In the second half, Callback (S) Veterans Firsts continued to dominate, scoring their second goal early on. Despite this setback, Southend Collegians Vets rallied and had a good 25 minutes, creating several decent chances, but Callback (S) Veterans Firsts' solid defense held them at bay.
As the match progressed, Callback (S) Veterans Firsts made some changes, bringing on some younger and fresher legs. This ultimately made the difference as Southend Collegians Vets conceded a penalty, which Callback (S) Veterans Firsts scored, followed by another goal.
However, Southend Collegians Vets did manage to get a consolation goal from a corner near the end, with Stephen Ferguson scoring for the team. Despite this, the match ended in a 4-1 loss for the lads against a strong Callback (S) Veterans Firsts side.
Although the result was disappointing, Southend Collegians Vets can take heart from the fact that they fought hard and never gave up. The team will continue to work hard on the training ground and come back stronger in the next game.
