Southend Collegians Reserves secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory in their latest fixture, with the result never really in doubt from the first whistle. The team dominated possession and created plenty of opportunities to score, but were ultimately limited to two goals.
The first goal came from a free kick won by Dan Turner, with Karl delivering an excellent ball into the box. The ball resulted in a scramble, with the ball eventually coming off the bar and John Search continuing his fine form by tapping it in from close range.
The second goal was just as impressive, with debutant Luke Quinton brilliantly controlling a throw-in from John Search. After spinning his marker, Quinton fired the ball into the back of the net to double Southend Collegians Reserves' lead.
Although the team kept creating great chances in the second half, they were unfortunately unable to add to their tally. Nevertheless, a special shout-out must go to Clint in goal and the back four in front of him, who put in a solid performance to keep a clean sheet.
Overall, it was a fantastic display from Southend Collegians Reserves, who will be hoping to build on this success in their upcoming fixtures.
