Match Report: Leigh Ramblers A vs. Southend Collegians Firsts

In an action-packed encounter in the Southend Borough & District Football Combination Premier Division, Southend Collegians Firsts took on Leigh Ramblers A. The match unfolded at the North Belfairs ground and provided spectators with a thrilling display of football.

With 15 minutes left, Leigh Ramblers A was reduced to ten men as a player was shown a red card for a reckless challenge. This turn of events presented Southend Collegians with a chance to secure a late victory, but the opposing goalkeeper made a series of remarkable saves to keep the scores level.


The match concluded with a 2-2 draw, a result that left the Southend Collegians side feeling that they had been the stronger team on the day. Despite the missed opportunities, the squad showed resilience, and the commitment to seeking victory remained evident throughout the game.
