In 1976, Bob took on the role of Manager for the team, a position he continues to fulfill to this day, an incredible 45+ years later. This exceptional commitment demonstrates his deep love for the sport and his unwavering support for our club and its players.
Bob's passion and tireless efforts have seen him assume various roles within Southend Collegians. In 1996, he was appointed as the club's Chairman, taking on the responsibility of leading and guiding our footballing family. Under his astute leadership, our club has flourished, creating a nurturing environment for players of all ages and levels to thrive.
A Wider Impact
Bob's influence extends beyond the boundaries of Southend Collegians. In 2018, he became a vital member of the Management Committee for the Southend District Football Combination, further contributing to the development and success of grassroots football in our community. In 2021, he assumed the role of Assistant Treasurer for the league, displaying his commitment to fostering a strong footballing infrastructure.

The Football Association, in collaboration with the Essex County FA, nominated Bob for the Long Service to Football Award. This distinguished recognition reflects the immeasurable impact he has had on the sport throughout his illustrious career.
